We are very happy and proud to announce that BUCHIM joined our GENERALKA WEEKEND 24 family. Since 2022 BUCHIM and Borov Dol are already supporting SONCHEVA GORA plantations in Stip, Konce, Radovis but also in Ohrid and other municipalities in Macedonia. Thanks to their ongoing efforts and constantly supporting the communities around their facilities, Buchim became a great example in Macedonia, how the mining industry can take responsibility for their environment and people.

Makstil ongoing efforts to raise environmental and social standards are remarkable and we are committed to present these achievements as well as future initiatives of our partners within the framework of GENERALKA WEEKEND and SONCHEVAGORA.

We are very happy and proud that we for the second year NULA OTPAD will join our GENERALKA WEEKEND family as an official partner. As the leading force in collecting electronic waste and education activities in schools and kindergartens in Macedonia, NULA OTPAD became one of the most trusted companies in the field of waste collection. Thanks to NULA OTPADs efforts, citizens and companies of Macedonia have now a way to dispose electronic waste FREE OF CHARGE and with the guarantee that this dangerous waste will not end up in the nature.

As one of our first partners since 2020, PAKOMAK has always played a key strategic role in all of our activities. We are very happy and proud to announce that our partnership is again renewed for 2024 and together we go shoulder on shoulder to reach our goal of enabling a clean environment by installing a circular waste system in Macedonia.

We are very happy and proud to announce that we can welcome KOSTAL as a new official partner of the GENERALKA WEEKEND ´24 family. After contributing for years to GENERALKA WEEKEND in Ohrid with volunteers, KOSTAL is now an Official Partner of GW24 and will join between 17.-19. May 2024 on a special action in and around the National Park Galicica. For more infos please check our facebook group.

Generalka Weekend 2022 from 6.-8. May is confirmed in 25 municipalities covering more than 1.200.000 citizens of North Macedonia. Generalka Weekend is therefor the biggest environment cleaning action in the history of NMK as well as on the whole balkans.

We are very proud to announce that Pivara Skopje and Pakomak are the patrons of the Generalka Weekend 2022 providing the infrastructure and spirit to create a fundamental change in the way we select waste and take responsibility for the environment around us.

Also in this year Zelena Soncheva is supported by the Ministry of Environment as well as the Ministry of Agriculture. The Ministry of Agriculture will dedicate one tree per ten kg of collected waste in their reforestation activities in the following years to come.

Generalka Weekend is a waste collecting action on the second weekend of May repeating for 10 years – from 2021 to 2031. Our goal is to clean the country from the garbage of the past to recycle it into a green future for us and following generations to come.

Each year in autumn we plant new trees together with the Ministry of Agriculture and private donators throughout the whole country and those forests will be called “SONCHEVA GORA”. SONCHEVA GORA are forests built by the efforts of the citizens of North Macedonia to rebuild their country to provide hope and a healthy environment for all people who live in this country.
